SDCET was established by the Sanatan Dharma College Association, Muzaffarnagar a pioneer registered education society. The society has been playing a vital role in promoting the cause of education in this region. At present the society is running various prestigious technical and non technical educational institutions, particularly in the field of Technology, Management, Pharmacy, Law, and Art Commerce & Science.

A great visionary, Late Shri Mahendra Kumar Ji Advocate was the founder chairman of the college who had a vision to spread the light of education in the western UP succeeded by Shri Deepak Kumar Ji, as secretary, the mission of quality education continues and is scaling new heights.

Distinguished scholars and educationists in the fields of engineering and various disciplines of science and some prominent industrial organizations like star wire India, Gulshan Sugar & Chemicals Ltd, Nazar Chemicals etc. are on consultant cum advisory council of the college to develop it into one among the best seats of learning in the country.
